How does the ConneX4 IT Integration Hub work?
The ConneX4 IT Integration Hub allows users to connect data and applications deployed in different environments, such as on-premise and in the cloud, via pre-built, pre-tested connectors and data flows between the many supported applications common to the IT industry and channel. These templated connectors standardize the communications between applications, enabling real-time data exchange through common protocols.

- Applications – Many applications and platforms in common use throughout the IT industry and channel are supported by the ConneX4 IT Integration Hub so that you only have to go one place to find your ‘Source‘ and ‘Target‘ applications for your desired integration.
- Connectors – Two applications which are in common need of integration are combined into ‘Connectors‘, which specify the details of the integration protocols and technical requirements in a template-based approach, to save you time and money.
- Flows – Within each Connector template are one or more data flows (we call simply ‘Flows‘) which define the actual data integration, field mapping and transmission requirements between the Source and Target applications of the connector. Flows can be scheduled to run at a certain time or frequency, to make certain your data is always accurate and up-to-date. Flows are placed by default into a ‘Sandbox’ or ‘Test Mode’ to allow you to insure that they perform correctly prior to putting them into ‘Production Mode’. And Flows are ‘Versioned’ to allow you to keep track of changes made over time, and to ‘roll-back’ to the prior version when necessary.
- Connections – Once one or more flows are configured with your unique application credentials, and placed into your account for testing or production use, we refer to them as your ‘Connections’, to indicate that they are now tailored for your specific use, and differ from the original connector and flow templates used to create your integration.
